As we are getting close to ending the Legend trilogy with Champion coming out in November 3, 2013, it’s no surprise that Marie Lu is already set to work on, or already working on, her next trilogy.  Here’s what’s been released so far:

Marie Lu, the author behind the popular YA series Legend (Penguin Group), closed a three-book deal with Putnam Books for Young Readers to launch a new series. Jen Besser took world rights in the transaction from agent Kristin Nelson at Nelson Literary. The new series, set in what Putnam described as a “Renaissance-like world,” is called The Young Elites. It follows three rival societies with supernatural powers battling for supremacy. The first book in the series is set for fall 2014.

It looks to be another excellent and exciting trilogy, which no doubt with entice readers to continue following Marie’s writing.

In the meantime, we’ll just continue to wait (im)patiently for the third book to find out what will become of our Day and June.
